Are you a local librarian, community or non-profit volunteer, or tech-savvy in general? Do you like helping neighbors solve computer or phone issues? Coming up in September is “Empowering The Helper” – training designed for front-line tech support staff and volunteers at libraries, affordable housing, town offices, community centers, and other non-profits.
In this ever-evolving digital world, understanding technology is becoming a necessity. Coastal Maine Regional Broadband (CMRB) and BoomerTECH Adventures are partnering to present resources and strategies to help with up-to-date knowledge about digital devices and best practices to assist the public with a variety of technology questions. The first session is planned in 2 locations: September 18, 10 am – 1pm at the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset; and September 19 10 am – 1 pm, Maine Lighthouse Museum, 1 Park Drive, Rockland. The program is free, with a continental breakfast provided.
