Join Maine naturalist, photographer, forager and author of ‘Edible & Medicinal Mushrooms of New England & Eastern Canada’, David L. Spahr for an indoor presentation & luncheon discussing the identification and uses of edible and medicinal mushrooms.
Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a “petite appetizer plate” of locally sourced gourmet mushrooms sponsored by Formal Fungi LLC. A luncheon featuring two sandwich options will be served with seasonal fruit, traditional brewed iced tea, or medicinal iced tea using foraged mushrooms, and a light dessert.
Enjoy your lunch during the presentation and be prepared to ask questions and take notes! We encourage you to bring a notepad and something to write with ![]()

Chicken Salad Sandwich: Hand chopped chicken breasts, celery, and red onion, tossed in garlic aioli with a splash of lemon, over a bed of mixed greens and sliced tomato, topped with pickled banana pepper, served in artisanal bread.
