Another great news! MCA and Central Maine Community College (Auburn) have launched Cohort II of the Fiber Optic Technician Course starting April 15th.
Cohort I successfully concluded on March 15th with 5 graduates transitioning into the workforce.
We need your help to spread the word and fill the class. Our target: 12 students. Here’s what you need to know:
- Duration: 5 weeks, 120 hrs
- Earn while you learn (stipends available for eligible candidates)
- Free for Maine residents
- Entry-level salary: $48k – $62k/yr + benefits
- Interviews with hiring companies post-class

This course covers installation, testing, and maintenance of FTTx networks. Students learn splicing, termination, testing, and commissioning of fiber optic cables, becoming FBA-Certified Fiber Optic Technicians.
