Fabulous cakes and intriguing experiences will be up for bid at Preservation Party, Lincoln County Historical Association’s annual dinner and auction on September 8.This year’s event, which will be held on the grounds of Pownalborough Court House in Dresden, features an auction of experiences because, as LCHA’S party planners say, “We already have too much ‘stuff’.”
Highlighting the list of experiences are vacation trips to Belize and Portugal. Other offerings include a catered dinner for eight, a repertory theater package, a fishing trip on Casco Bay, a spa day, car detailing, and four nights at a local B&B.
The theme of this year’s Preservation Party is a celebration of our heritage, and the Collections Committee will take a few moments to describe their activities in the documentation of our historical artifacts for future generations.
Entrance to Preservation Party is by reservation only. Tickets are available online at www.lincolncountyhistory.org. For more information, call Shannon Gilmore at lchamaine1954@gmail.com or call 207-882-6817.
