And now we have the last Bookends event of the summer coming up this Thursday, August 28, immediately following the fantastic Wiscasset Art Walk. Stop in during the art walk and browse the stacks then join us from 7-8:30pm when I’ll interview author Ron Currie, author of The Savage Noble Death of Babs Dionne which has been optioned for a Netflix series! *note the time for the event is 7-8:30pm…a little later than usual for us in order to accommodate the art walk. We will close at 6pm to set up and reopen just before 7:00.
Please stop in or call us at 207.687.8120 to reserve your seat (leave a message if we don’t answer and we’ll add you to the list). Tickets are $10 at the door and include a lively conversation and light refreshments. Additional information below.
A reminder that the shop will be closed on Wednesday September 10 when I’ll be attending the annual New England Independent Booksellers Conference in New Hampshire, but I’ll be back in the shop Thursday, September 11, from 11-5pm as usual.
I have a couple more book related events up my sleeve for October and November so watch this space!
And finally, Banned Books Week this year is October 5-11. The theme this year is “Censorship Is So 1984. Read for Your Rights.”
Looking forward to seeing you in the bookshop! Toni
